Meet the CRMH AirLife Crew - Samantha Dasch
July 19, 2019
If you are faced with an emergency situation that requires air ambulance transport, knowing that you are in the hands of a trained professional can make a stressful situation a little easier. Carle Richland Memorial Hospital is pleased to introduce the members of the Carle AirLife team to the communities we serve. These individuals will be stationed at the hospital and ready to respond at a moment’s notice to those emergencies that require a patient to be flown to a larger hospital for care. They will also act as an additional trauma team in the emergency department should there be a need.
Samantha Dasch is a flight nurse for AirLife. Samantha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix and her Nursing degree from Olney Central College. She began her nursing care with Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, first in the Family Maternity Services unit, then transitioning to the Emergency Department. She also worked as a Nursing Coordinator.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to build relationships in our community as I provide care to our patients and support their families,” says Samantha. “I also look forward to developing a new family with my AirLife co-workers.”
Samantha was drawn to this opportunity to provide care to critically ill patients in such a wide range of medical situations. Her love of knowledge led her to pursue this opportunity.
“The resources we can provide will be invaluable as we care for and transition patients to where they need to be. I feel my background and experience in patient care will be beneficial to my role in taking care of these patients.”
In her spare time, Samantha enjoys photography, woodworking, crafting, baking and spending time with her kids.
AirLife officially went in to service in June and the helicopter is stationed on the CRMH helipad, except in inclement weather.
